Why this exists

The big machine stays under the bed. This one stays in the drawer.

A treadle machine needs a table, a corner of the room, and daylight or power. A hem needs four minutes. That mismatch is why so many small repairs wait for months.

This is a single-stitch handheld machine: 0.5 kg, about the length of a ruler, runs on batteries so dumsor cannot stop it, and a DC adapter comes in the box for when there is light. You hold the cloth with one hand, press the switch with the other, and guide it through. Hems, seams, curtains, uniforms, mosquito nets — the small jobs that never justify setting up a big machine.

Sound familiar?

The repairs that wait too long

1. The hem drops on Sunday morning
You are dressed, you are late, and the trouser hem is hanging. The tailor is not open. Nobody is open.
2. The tailor queue
Twenty minutes there, forty minutes waiting, and the repair costs more than the thread. So you pin it and forget it.
3. Dumsor stops the machine
An electric machine in a blackout is a table with a light on it. This one runs on batteries, so the blackout changes nothing.
What makes the difference

Small enough to keep, simple enough to use

No table, no pedal, no installation. Lift the presser, thread the needle, switch on.

Cordless — batteries, not a socket
01
Cordless — batteries, not a socket
It runs on batteries, so a blackout does not stop a repair. A DC adapter is included for when you prefer to plug in.
Single chain stitch
02
Single chain stitch
One clean stitch for hems, seams and household cloth — the stitch you actually need for a quick repair, done at the press of a switch.
Half a kilo in one hand
03
Half a kilo in one hand
0.5 kg and roughly 20 × 6.5 × 3 cm. Your other hand holds and guides the fabric, which is what makes a straight hem possible.
Nine bobbins in the box
04
Nine bobbins in the box
Eight coloured bobbins plus one already loaded. Match the thread to the cloth instead of settling for whatever is left on the spool.
Threading is taught on the machine
05
Threading is taught on the machine
Every part is labelled — tension control, needle arm, bobbin, rotary wheel — and a six-step threading guide is in the box.
06
A side income if you want one
School uniforms at the start of term, curtains, pillow covers, quick repairs for neighbours. Small jobs, small money, done at home.
How you use it

From box to first stitch

1
Load a bobbin and fit a needle
Two needles and a threader are in the box. Fit the needle with the flat side facing the right way.
2
Thread the machine
Follow the numbered guide — tension control, needle arm, then through the needle. It takes a minute the first time and seconds after that.
3
Lift the presser and place the cloth
Keep the fabric flat under the plate and hold the loose end with your free hand.
4
Switch on and guide
Press the switch and guide the cloth slowly through. Let the machine pull; your job is direction, not force.
5
Knot the ends
A chain stitch unravels from the last loop, so tie off both ends with a small knot before you cut the thread.

Before you order — the honest part
•It sews light to medium fabric. Denim, leather and thick canvas are not what this machine is for — use a full-size machine for those.
•The stitch is a single chain stitch. Tie a small knot at both ends or it will pull out.
•It runs on batteries, and a DC adapter is included. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm exactly what is inside your box before it ships.
•Hold the cloth flat and guide it slowly. Pushing hard bends the needle — let the machine pull the fabric through.
Ordering is the easy part

Try a stitch before you pay

When the rider arrives, open the box, fit the batteries, thread it and run a line across a scrap of cloth. If it does not stitch, you do not pay. Free delivery in all 16 regions, two to five days, cash on delivery.

For shops & resellers

For tailors, boutiques and traders

A tailor keeps one on the counter for quick customer repairs; a boutique keeps one behind the till for a dropped hem on a sale. Ten units and up at wholesale, delivered anywhere in Ghana.

Questions people actually ask

FAQ

Can it sew jeans or leather?
No. It is built for light to medium fabric — cotton, uniforms, curtains, nets, pillow covers. Denim, leather and thick canvas need a full-size machine.
Are batteries included?
The machine runs on batteries and a DC adapter is included. Message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you exactly what is in your box before it ships.
Is it hard to thread?
It is labelled part by part and comes with a six-step threading guide. Most people get it on the second try.
What kind of stitch does it make?
A single chain stitch — strong enough for a hem, and it needs a small knot at each end so it cannot unravel.
Can I use it for curtains?
Yes, curtain fabric is well within what it handles. Take the curtain down, hem it flat, hang it back.
How does delivery work?
Two to five days to the 16 regions, delivery is free, and you pay cash to the rider after you have opened and tested it.

Keep it in the drawer. Fix it in four minutes.
